Hello! and WELCOME to

M&M Embellishments!  

 

I am Michelle ~ mom of 2 sons, Nic & Logan, and my step-daughter, Adriane.  We are now grandparents to our little grandson, Braxton.   I'm married to my best friend, and the man who keeps me grounded. The poor man never complains, even when I've taken up most of our garage and all of our basement with furniture, paint, and allllll of the other necessities that go along with this business!  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We live in a very small town in Northwestern PA with our two dogs, Sampson - an Old English Bulldog, and our newest addition, Jaxson ~our  puppy Cocker Spaniel.  And our 2 cats, Bandee and Baloo

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I have always had a good eye for design and managed a clothing and accessory boutique, which plays into my creative side.  In 2015, I decided to really use my spare time developing and practicing my artistic energies.  

 

I began M&M Embellishments, starting with small art pieces and gradually redirected my focus to creating art on furniture.  I refurbish a piece {be it Antique or just a discarded table} using stain as the medium into a one~of~a~kind piece of art.  Using a technique, which I call stain shading or stain “painting”, the image/ design is highlighted with great depth and dimension. In addition,  I design custom monograms on furniture, which can be passed down as family heirlooms. 

 

I also create a variety of smaller art pieces, custom signs,  and perpetual tile calendars. I find gratification in repurposing items, such as my industrial lighting pieces.  I am always learning and trying new things as this adventure unfolds.
